In regards to not wanting to fight someone that missed by a pound, it's more about how difficult it is on your body to lose the last couple pounds than the size. Weight cutting gets exponentially harder as you go down and it's not fair when an opponent doesn't go through that like you did. It's amazing Basharat can make 135 with the set of nuts he has. He was set up for failure and looked great. Awesome card and great show.

I mean, I definitely get that, but I hear from fighters as well that they feel like they can feel the physical advantage their opponent has from just a few lbs. Plus if the final bit of weight cutting were that deleterious to performance more fighters would consider simply fighting at a different weight. They do the extra cutting because they don't think their performance suffers.
