One piece of constructive criticism. I have been listening to the Vivi religiously for years. I don’t understand why you guys sometimes feel the need to rush through these to fit it into a limited timeframe. I presume people like me that look forward to this podcast every fight week genuinely want to hear the analysis (along with gambling advice of course) and don’t really care if it goes 90 minutes vs 45 minutes. For those that want to rush through the analysis just to get to the pick itself, there is a function to listen at 1.5-2x speed. Please stop doing this!
So this is pretty stupid (of me), but basically, I live in a place that's about 1200 sq ft, and my office is wide open to my living room. My wife and I share that space when she works from home. Usually that's not on Wednesdays (when we record), but for the past two weeks we've both been dealing with extended bouts of COVID and are only just finally testing negative.
We start recording at 11am my time, and when my wife is home we have a hard cutoff of 2pm because she has a big meeting for her work she can't miss. Usually that's more than enough time to get through both shows, but on this occasion we had some unforeseen delays and couldn't get started until 12pm. Which means just 2 hours to record. Thus the blitz.
Shouldn't happen again, since my wife is usually in her office on Wednesdays which means I have all the time I need. But it happened this time and there wasn't a lot we could do about it.
Thank you guys so much for taking the time to respond- it shows you care. And I apologize if I came off as a dick, I just appreciate the in depth analysis.
The guys wanted to have full length shows plus bonus content this week, like we have been doing but they personally did not have time in their schedules this week to record. Which is why they had to rush through and give up on the bonus segments. It’s highly irregular and probably won’t occur very often as they plan very carefully to carve out time for the shows.
